Beauty Of Raja Gidh
Banu Qudsia's novel "Raja Gidh" is also a beautiful thematic expression of the tragedy of failure in love and the conditions that result from the unfulfilled desires of human beings There is also an echo of Freud's ideas of 'these unmarried desires' and the idea of a 'two-pronged theme' with regard to Lacan's children, but built on these ideas. The above building is based on the religious ideas and beliefs prevalent in the author's own society and culture.
A good novel is not only a reflection of the society of its time but also an architect. Raja Gidh main idea is to reflect the dominant thinking of his society. The novel was widely acclaimed in Pakistan, on the one hand because of its expression of the human emotions and feelings found in it which must have arisen in the hearts of the people of that era as a result of wanting and wanting to be loved. There were but those who could not be openly described in real life in this era, especially for women, but their description was certainly attractive, on the other hand, the style of the author, which is not only full of aesthetics, but also meaningful. The sentences are an expression of the author's grasp on the language.
The aesthetic aspect of this novel is very strong. There are many quotations and phrases which the reader is compelled to note in his diary during the reading of this novel so that he can quote them somewhere. The protagonist of this novel is a man who tries to convey all the ideas, which proves that the society of that time was pressuring the writer's consciousness to go against the prevailing rules of his society. As a woman, she used feminine phrases to describe topics such as religious beliefs, love, sex between a man and a woman, but this discussion was not strengthened by the characters in the novel.
The strong point of a novel is that each character is actionable, but many events and human experiences are described by the same character in such a way that the rest of the characters in the novel do not appear to be active. Qayyum, the protagonist of the novel, seems to express the moods and feelings of the other characters with his own reference, which is the result of the thematic thinking of the character which has a narrative color, what are the other characters in themselves.
This cannot be known in this novel because it does not move forward under its internal relationships but it seems that the main character of the novel which is in fact also the means of conveying the thoughts of the author is controlling all the other characters. And by imposing his thinking on the rest of the characters, he is making their activities impossible.
In this way, the author may not want to allow the novel to move forward according to his logic, that is, he does not want to allow the cola to become the center, so he seems to be trying to keep his grip on the whole novel in such a way that the novel under one thought. It starts and ends with this thinking.
It is said that a good novel grows out of the grip of the author on its own, but if the writer's thoughts and ideas are clear, he keeps his grip on the characters, so we can say that Banu Qudsia. Has stated exactly what he wanted to say in this novel.
